Join Ghost Hunter and author Vince Wilson his guests on a trip into HAUNTED HISTORY! Dare to join them in on a hunt for the paranormal and the macabre while staying in an actual haunted hotel in America's most haunted town!

Gettysburg History

In all the battles in America's Civil War no single one has been as scrutinized as the one at Gettysburg. The small Pennsylvania college town would forever be burned into the memories of people everywhere after the events that transpired on those fateful three days in July 1863.

From the Gettysburg National Historic Park website:

The Battle of Gettysburg was a turning point in the Civil War, the Union victory in the summer of 1863 that ended General Robert E. Lee's second and most ambitious invasion of the North. Often referred to as the "High Water Mark of the Confederacy", it was the war's bloodiest battle with 51,000 casualties. It also provided President Abraham Lincoln with the setting for his most famous address.

Gettysburg Ghosts

The question is not "is Gettysburg haunted?" The question to ask is where is it not haunted?!

  • Hear the tales of phantom militias that that still march the battlefields today! Sometimes in front of dozens of witnesses!
  • The most common kind of haunting phenomena?  Ghostly sounds from beyond! Reports of marching - the sounds of canteens rattling and gunshots!
  • A scene of horror appeared to hospital workers in an elevator trip into the building's basement! Dead-eyed surgeons beckon from the past for help!

Join Ghost Hunter and author Vince Wilson his guests on a trip into HAUNTED HISTORY! Dare to join them in on a hunt for the paranormal and the macabre while staying in what some say is an actual haunted hotel in one of America's most haunted towns!

Fredericksburg is virtually an untapped source of ghostly goings-on! With less crowds than other, more popular (but not as interesting or as haunted!) haunted towns, Fredericksburg has a lot to offer would-be ghost-hunters!

From the Fredericksburg National Park Website:

The Battle of Fredericksburg was fought on December 13, 1862. Grim arithmetic tells only a part of the Fredericksburg story. Lee suffered 5,300 casualties but inflicted more than twice that many losses on his opponent. Of the 12,600 Federal soldiers killed, wounded, or missing, almost two-thirds fell in front of the stone wall.

Despite winning in the most overwhelming tactical sense, however, the Battle of Fredericksburg proved to be a hollow victory for the Confederates. The limitless resources of the North soon rectified Burnside's losses in manpower and materiel. Lee, on the other hand, found it difficult to replenish either missing soldiers or needed supplies.

Fredericksburg, although profoundly discouraging to Union soldiers and the Northern populace, made no decisive impact on the war. Instead, it merely postponed the next "On to Richmond" campaign until the spring.
